While the racial builder was already in the works and allowed players and GMs the ability to make just about any type of character they want from scratch, from a mound of ooze to a humanoid to a construct to a demon, I thought that a system of premade races would allow the players and GM to have a secondary option as to how they go about building their characters. Again, the idea was to keep in line with the feel of the game and allow a great deal of openness in the exercise of character creation while also offering a sturdy enough framework so that the player/GM isn't overwhelmed completely.
What has emerged is a listing, a bestiary basically of sixty racial templates which are premade and built for instant use in campaign as either PCs or NPCs. Players, GM allowing, can choose from any racial template in the book allowing a huge amount of freedom in what type of character they want to play without going through the process of building a race from scratch. While a huge amount of the templates are unique, many are spin-offs or familiar fantasy types that most players will easily recognize. But, the flavor of Far Away Land and an emerging and unique world is there as well.
The racial listing doubles as a bestiary and a PC creation aid. The bestiary aspect allows GMs to use the templates as NPC encounters while the PC creation aid simplifies the process of PC creation allowing the player to build a custom character based on a template in less than five minutes.
Every single racial template comes with full attribute blocks listing any skills, spells, powers, etc. that the character possesses as well as description and full color illustrations featuring that race.
