I'm so terrible about posting on this blog (I need a tag for this statement). I read other people's blogs and I think its wonderful that they are able to keep up, to have the will to make posting a daily or even weekly thing. Well done you people. That being said, I want to point out a great gaming blog called Tenkar's Tavern.
I am not a web aficionado (is that a thing). I visit the same handful of websites daily, most of which are gaming (video and tabletop - although i rarely play video games (I still play Ultima Online T2A)) /archaelogy/writing/art oriented. I dislike social media for the most part and I'm not good at maintaining ethereal/digital/intangible/ephemeral stuff. I'm just not. I like talking to people, to hear their physical voices, to read words intended to be read intimately or to encourage others. I like meeting people and having a beer and talking about what I have been reading and writing, what they have been reading and working on, what is important for them at that moment. I like getting together with friends and gaming. I like drawing and writing and making stuff. I like people who are interested in this sort of thing and Tenkar's Tavern has put me in touch with a group of people online who share similar feelings. So, I'm happy about that and thought I would tell people. If you are unfamiliar with the blog, check it out. And if you like it, they started a new Patreon and it's worth supporting.
I'm going to use Tenkar's as inspiration to maintain my own blog.
