Hey all. I guess this is the first blog post since FAL was funded, which is weird because it feels like a lot of time has passed but it has only been a few days.
I really want to thank everyone for backing this project. It means a lot to me that people are excited about FAL. It also brings a certain level of creative vindication, that ideas and drawings and gaming wasn't just going out and into a void. So thank you. FAL is funded and will happen. And not only that, but we have already reached our first stretch goal and are well on our way to the second strtech goal (Dragons!).
I want to talk a bit about the first stretch goal and what it will contain as I thought the goal was a bit vague, at least in terms of fine detail. So here is finer details and some pictures...
I have already begun working on and finishing new art as well as dragons. I thought I would include one of the new pieces below. I'm not sure exactly how much new art will be added, probably 5 or 6 full page pieces plus several of the more finished sketches. Also, some of the smaller pieces that are within the books are going to be added as full page pieces - this is in addition to new art and sketches. :)
I almost forgot. Someone suggested line drawings that could be printed and colored. This of course would be aimed more at kids and I thought it was a great idea. So I have included a line drawing below. After the project finishes and everything ships, I am going to add a bunch of the line drawings to the site. These will most likely be pdf format and will be free to download and color. I hope we can do a thing where people can send in their colored pieces or original FAL artworks to be featured on the site.
