Masters of the martial arts. Anthropomorphic cats. A belt is the only clothes they need. Love of headbands and disco music played by a 40 piece pan flute orchestra. Everybody was kat fu fighting.
This mini adventure introduces the Temple of the Last Sun and the Last Sun Clan led by the catacular Bimmy Paws, catling martial artists extraordinaire.

As I said in a previous post, my efforts for the most part right now are going into the Far Away Land Card game. Playtests are still being done to hammer out nuances and spurs in play but I am feeling really good about where the game is right now. Also, the artwork is done for the most part (I still need to do the backside of the cards and box art). Here is what the cards will look like.
The card to the left features Mirabell and Gruun while the card to the left is the Ring of Doom. The upper left box (orange) will indicate XP value. The red circle indicates the Attack score while the green indicates Defense. Additional notes are provided in the larger box at the bottom.
I will be posting more as the project moves forward. I'm hoping to release this in February of next year.
So, I have decided to putting together some mini adventures for Far Away Land. I think I need small projects that I can complete in short amounts of time. It feels good for my brain.
My goal for these mini adventures will be to keep them to a single page. Each one will have a map and adventure ideas along with NPCs, items, and randoms charts. The map style will be a top down view as can be seen below for the first of these mini adventures "Lair of the Seamerls". Everything will be full color. I will also get a chance to use new layout software and image editing software which I am quite excited about.
Update: So I went ahead and colored the map using Affinity Photo - which I think is a nice, inexpensive alternative to Photoshop.
How I wish everyday could be spent in Far Away Land. I'm serious. This holiday weekend was so productive for me and I was able to immerse myself in FAL and it felt really good. A lot of work on the website. Here's what's up...
I have updated the Quick Start Rules with revisions to mirror the Tome of Awesome 2nd Edition. Most of these changes are minor but were needed.
I have also updated all of the free adventures to reflect the new rules. A lot of corrections as well. There are some new pieces of art in these. Oh, I need to make an archive file so folks can download all of the adventures in one go. That might be nice.
I have also uploaded revised character sheets (PC and NPC) and rearranged the layout of the Free Stuff page.
I hope all of this sounds good. I think I'm going to write a new adventure this week.
I have decided to stop being lazy about Far Away Land. I work on it almost everyday but I rarely talk about it. I almost never post on my progress and I am absolutely awful about social media. I blame the '80s, mostly analog.
This being said, I am turning over a new leaf of online interaction and updates. The first of these is a new look for the site, some new artwork, some new text, etc. I will be adding to the site over the next few weeks. I want people to know about FAL so I will be adding loads of information to the site.
In addition to new art and text, I will be releasing all five books from the 2018 Kickstarter in faruniverse in the next week or so. Initially they will be available as pdfs and then as hardback and paperbacks. For the short term, I plan to only sell the books through faruniverse.com
In addition to the web work, I have been consistently working on Adventures in the Materiosphere and the FAL Card Game (which I am tentatively calling Far Away Land: Cards of Awesome). The card game will be releasing in spring of 2019 and Adventures in the Materiosphere in the fall of that year.
New updates to come.
