I have done up a cover for FAL. Some may recognize the reference in design, a homage to a certain version of a certain game from the early 80s.
I have been feverishly working on finishing the Creatures of Far Away Land section of the book (with over 70 creatures) and decided to post a bit of the art showing some of the various beings you will find in the game. A couple to note in this image are the Harpy, Fire Giant, Gorgon, Garl Snail and Brain Fish, Ettin and Agnun.
I have uploaded the rough version of the Mass Combat rules for FAL. While some things will need tweaking and changing, the overall system is in place, unless something unforeseen is living in there? There will be a rewrite with examples and some more testing as well as a Gm section for narrating mass combat and an introduction Right now however, the rules have been well-tested and tweaked to the point it is now...
The End of Far Away Land
The End of Far Away Land is a chapter within the book that I have been hammering out over the past few days based a binder of notes (accumulated over a long period of time) that detail how PCs can build and oversee lands and peoples when they decide they want to build a kingdom. The idea behind the End of FAL was to be a sort of end game experience, when the PCs (or players) are no longer in the mood to adventure and want to settle down. This addition to the game gives basic guidelines for building structures, running a kingdom, and creating conflicts for a kingdom. It is meant for upper level PCs mostly.
